Game Center on iPhone, iPad and Mac lets you create a friend list, manage your profile, achieve achievements, and even compete in global rankings.
Using Game Center on iOS, iPad, and macOS is pretty easy. However, you must first set up a Game Center profile.
While you can use Game Center features on a Mac, to properly set up a Game Center profile, you must have an iOS and iPadOS device.
How to create a Game Center profile on iPhone/iPad
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Game Center
- Tap the Nickname field and enter a nickname
- Add an image by tapping the image that shows your nickname. You can use a previously created Memoji or create a new Memoji to use.
After creating your profile, you can immediately start earning achievements and competing on the leaderboards. However, you can also add friends to your Game Center profile.
Adding friends in Game Center on iPhone/iPad
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Game Center
- Tap Add Friends
- Enter a phone number, or email, or select one of your contacts to add
For those of you who don’t know, you can also add friends to Game Center from your Mac.
How to add friends in Game Center on macOS
- Click Apple Menu
- Klik System Preferences
- Klik Internet Accounts
- Click Game Center
- Klik Add Friends
- Enter a phone number, or email, or select one of your contacts to add
If you decide you’re no longer friends with a Game Center contact, you can remove them by following the steps below.
Remove friends from Game Center on iPhone/iPad
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Game Center
- Tap Friends
- Swipe left up the username
- Tap Remove
You can also choose to report problematic behavior, such as cheating or inappropriate content.
